1. Acceptance & Eligibility

By accessing or using LetsPlanet, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction) to create an account. By registering, you represent that you meet this requirement.

2. Your Account

You may create an account using your email address, Google Sign-In, or Sign in with Apple. You are responsible for keeping your account secure and for all activity under your account.

  • One account per person. Shared or automated accounts are not allowed.
  • Provide accurate information and keep it current.
  • Notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorized access to your account.
  • You can delete your account at any time from your account settings. See our Privacy Policy for what happens to your data.

3. The Service

LetsPlanet is a travel planning platform that lets you create trip itineraries, split expenses with fellow travelers, and get AI-powered recommendations for food, activities, nightlife, and shopping.

The service is provided for personal, non-commercial use. We may add, change, or remove features at any time. We'll give you notice for significant changes when possible.

4. AI-Generated Content

LetsPlanet uses artificial intelligence to generate travel recommendations. When you interact with our AI features, you are interacting with an automated system, not a human advisor.

AI recommendations are for informational and entertainment purposes only. They are not professional travel, financial, safety, or health advice. AI-generated content may be inaccurate, outdated, or incomplete.

  • Always independently verify AI suggestions (restaurant hours, prices, safety conditions, local regulations).
  • LetsPlanet is not liable for decisions you make based on AI recommendations.
  • AI outputs do not constitute endorsements of any business, location, or service.

5. Expense Splitting

The expense splitting feature (Trip Split) is an informal tracking tool. It helps groups keep a rough record of shared costs during a trip.

  • Expense records on LetsPlanet are not legally binding financial obligations.
  • LetsPlanet does not verify, mediate, or enforce debts between users.
  • LetsPlanet is not a financial institution and does not process payments.
  • Users are solely responsible for settling balances among themselves.
  • We are not liable for financial disputes, inaccurate entries, or any losses arising from expense tracking.

6. Your Content & Conduct

You retain ownership of content you create on LetsPlanet (trip plans, notes, photos). By posting content, you grant us a limited license to store, display, and process it as needed to provide the service.

You agree not to:

  • Use the service for any illegal purpose.
  • Harass, abuse, or threaten other users.
  • Scrape, reverse-engineer, or attempt to extract our source code.
  • Impersonate another person or misrepresent your identity.
  • Upload malicious software or content that could harm the service or other users.

We may remove content that violates these terms and may suspend or terminate accounts for repeated violations.

7. Privacy

Your use of LetsPlanet is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect, use, and protect your personal information. The Privacy Policy is a separate document and is incorporated into these terms by reference.

8. Intellectual Property

LetsPlanet, its logo, design, code, and non-user content are owned by us and protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works from our proprietary materials without permission.

9. Third-Party Services

LetsPlanet integrates with third-party services including Google Maps, Google Sign-In, Sign in with Apple, and AI providers. When you use these integrations:

  • You are also bound by those services' own terms and policies.
  • We are not responsible for the availability, accuracy, or conduct of third-party services.
  • Links to external websites are not endorsements.

10. Limitation of Liability

The service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, LetsPlanet is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of data, profits, or goodwill.

Our total liability for any claim arising from your use of the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or $100, whichever is greater.

We specifically disclaim liability for: AI recommendation accuracy, expense splitting disputes between users, third-party service outages, and travel disruptions.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless LetsPlanet and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the service, your content, or your violation of these terms.

12. Dispute Resolution

We hope to resolve any issues informally. If you have a concern, please contact us first at the address below. We'll try to work it out within 30 days.

If we can't resolve a dispute informally, it will be settled by binding arbitration on an individual basis. You waive the right to participate in class actions or class arbitrations. You may opt out of arbitration by notifying us in writing within 30 days of creating your account.

Small claims court actions and disputes where mandatory consumer protection laws apply (such as EU consumer law) are exempt from this arbitration requirement.

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law provisions. If you are an EU/EEA resident, you retain the benefit of any mandatory consumer protection provisions of your country of residence.

13. Termination

You may stop using LetsPlanet and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms or if we need to do so for legal or safety reasons.

Upon termination, your right to use the service ends. Sections that by their nature should survive (liability, disputes, intellectual property) remain in effect.

14. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. If we make significant changes, we'll notify you by email or by a notice on the website at least 30 days in advance. Continued use of the service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

15. General

These terms constitute the entire agreement between you and LetsPlanet regarding the service. If any provision is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in full effect. Our failure to enforce any right or provision does not waive that right. You may not assign or transfer your rights under these terms. LetsPlanet may assign its rights without restriction.
